How Element Aqua will provide a safe haven
for your aquatic workouts.
To you, our Aqua Family:
While learning to navigate this pandemic together, we’ve become more mindful of each other and more aware of the ripple effect of our actions: we are one fluid entity and, as such, we’re responsible for each other’s wellbeing. As we cautiously step back into the world and welcome you back to our studio, we’re taking all the necessary precautions to keep you and everyone safe and healthy.
THE POOL IS THE SAFEST PLACE TO WORK OUT TOGETHER
At Element Aqua, we’ve been preaching the benefits of water for years. This could not ring truer today: experts unanimously agree that the coronavirus cannot remain infectious in the pool; this means that, technically, you’re stepping into - and working out in - an element that kills the virus. With that said, we’re taking every precaution to keep you and your loved one safe at all times. Please take the time to read our new safety measures below and help us keep our home, your home, healthful and safe.
Your Element Aqua team looks forward to welcoming you back to our studio as you dive back into your aquatic routine.
Cleanliness has always been priority at Element Aqua, and we’re elevating our standards even more.
These new measures will be implemented immediately with more to come.
It is fundamental to us that you FEEL GOOD when you’re at Element Aqua. While your safety remains our priority, your happiness and comfort are of the greatest importance to us and we’ll try to make your experience as seamless and light under these unprecedented circumstances.
Elevated studio cleaning
Our studio has undergone thorough disinfections by our cleaning staff, using EPA regulated cleaning formulas, and will continue to be cleaned daily.
Our lobby, locker rooms and natatorium will be disinfected following each class by staff using our EPA approved disinfectant as per CDC guidelines.
Our staff will continue to spray with CDC approved disinfectants on all commonly used areas such as counter tops, doorknobs, sinks, lockers, computers, and phones.
Face Masks and Gloves
Our team will wear face masks and gloves, including when greeting clients, doing laundry, and cleaning common areas. Clients must wear masks as they enter the studio, during check in and in the locker rooms. NO MASKS INSIDE THE POOL (as per strict CDC guidelines).
Hand sanitizers, hand soap, spray bottles and wipes will be available throughout the studio for you to use.
Before your Aqua Class
To ensure social distancing, our class capacity sizes will be reduced to allow extra space in our pool and keep congregated numbers to a minimum at all times.
The swimming pool will be divided into 8ftx8ft squares with ropes and floaters, to assure that all individuals remain at least 6ft apart while inside the pool.
With class sizes reduced, we ask that you sign-up online before class to secure a spot. Please note that our cancellation policy will be strictly enforced.
Aqua Shoes & Towels
Studio towels service will no longer be available and aqua shoes will no longer be available for rent. Please bring your own towels and shoes. AQUA SHOES ARE MANDATORY and will be available for purchase at the studio.
All equipment will be disinfected before and after each use. Please follow floor markings, signs and your aqua trainer’s directions when picking up equipment prior to class and when placing it in the “used equipment” area once finished with class so that we may disinfect it for future use.
When you check in
Point of entry
The Aqua Team will keep a safe distance from your point of entry, with no need for you to touch any device. Simply give them your name and they will check you in (remember you must sign-up online before class to guarantee a spot).
Lockers will be wiped clean by staff following each use. Please avoid using any lockers that are marked ‘not available’.
Once you enter the natatorium, please pick up (previously disinfected) equipment that your trainer has laid out for you. Proceed to the shower: it is imperative that you shower before entering the pool. Once you have entered the pool, please make your way to any available designated “square”. Once class is finished, please deposit your equipment in the “used equipment” area so that our staff may disinfect it for future use.
After your Aqua class
Exiting the pool and studio
Please leave the pool room and studio as quickly as possible to allow time and space for staff to begin cleaning. Make sure you wear your masks again once outside of the pool.
Pool shower will be available for use prior to class: it is MANDATORY TO SHOWER before entering the pool.
Locker room showers will NOT be available until further notice.
Our small boutique will remain open, however we ask that you do not touch any items unless you are purchasing.
Shoes and Apparel
Clothing and shoes will not be available to try on. All clothing and shoe sales are final. Returns for other items will be accepted if never used. No items will be re-added to the boutique until properly cleaned and disinfected.
Remember, we are all connected.
Let’s remember that we’re all in this together and we must look out for each other, be kind and patient.
We’re committed to following our government’s safety guidelines and will continue to raise the bar for your safety.
Some reminders for you to take note and practice:
Please make sure to practice social distancing especially when checking-in, in the restrooms, locker rooms and in the pool room. Please avoid "socializing" while at the studio.
If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please take extra precautions! Do not come to the studio, see your doctor and do not return to the studio until you’re symptom-free.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 and/or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, we ask that you do not come to the studio for 14 days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.
We want you to know that our studio and the entire Element Aqua team is here for you, so you may relax your mind, strengthen your body and lift your spirit. Let’s mindfully dive back into Aqua together.
